Stress analysis expert reports are the starting point for making decisions on the further procedure in repairs and reconstructions of existing structures, including those listed as heritage monuments. A correct diagnosis is as important in medicine as it is in stress analysis. It is therefore necessary to always identify what is the cause and what is the consequence and based on this determine the following procedure.

St Peter and St Paul’s Cathedral in Brno – assessment of the defects in the presbytery and balcony constructions in order to enable tourists access to the towers and the steel truss. -
The Plague Column in Náměstí Svobody square in Brno – prior to the complete repair of the square it was discovered that the column is slightly leaning which necessitated taking steps to ensure its stability. -
St. Rosalia Chapel in Pouzdřany – identified improper foundation (hardly any foundations at all) with negative effects on the above-ground structure. -
Cowshed in Doubravník – an expert report concerning the existing structures and the possible future use of the building for different purposes. -
Barn of the former farm called Líšeňský dvůr – the sloping saddle was in a state of disrepair: the under-dimensioned elements became disjointed, insufficient wind-bracing, etc. In the end, the whole truss was replaced by a new one with the same system of construction. -
The underground linking corridor was completely built from monolithic reinforced concrete. After several years a longitudinal crack appeared in the ceiling. An analysis established the cause – the design assumed the action of ground pressure according to the scheme, but due to the lining and compacted loess the side ground pressure did not develop in accordance with the expected stress analysis scheme. The result was an overload on the ceiling. -
